AHL Game 14: Condors at Heat

The Bakersfield Condors lost to the Stockton Heat last night but have a chance to redeem themselves this evening. Here’s the lineup:

  • Ethan Bear is once again out of the lineup. I believe this is six games in a row out of the lineup.
  • Stockton has a mountain of prospects in the AHL, performing well. One of their players off to a difficult start is Spencer Foo.
  • Among players I believe are genuine prospects, Joe Gambardella is showing a pulse and Caleb Jones is playing a regular shift. Nick Ellis is quality and guys like Joey Laleggia, Ryan Mantha and Dillon Simpson are matriculating.
  • Among those I had written off, Braden Christoffer is off to a solid start and Kyle Platzer has a pulse.

I’ll update this game plus college and CHL as time allows.

Wonder why Gambardella is fourth line left wing with somewhat reasonable box cars

I think they may run that Callahan line as a utility unit.

Huh. Thought we had Spencer Foo slotted in at 2RW over the summer. Guess it just shows how out of touch some here were.

    Tyler Vesel with an assist.

Chiarelli had better be on the horn to Montreal.

Blowouts like this lead to stupid decisions.

    deardylan,

    – I liked this post! Lowetide is awesome

    – And while Dylan is at it: Lowetide: we get the Lowe part, but why tide? As in you hoped the tide would take Lowe away?

Thanks Kinger_Oil.Redux! Funny you asked that question….

At that very moment I was just reading a quote mentioned by Thomas Friedman in his book called “Thank You For Being Late” page 276…

“As Warren Buffett says, “You only find out who is swimming naked when the tide goes out!”

    Haha! 🙂

Maybe that could be one of the many unofficial possible answers? Would love to hear the official reason and story link to that too! #BlueonBlue

What type of season would help Benson redeem himself as a blue chipper?

    Just checked in.

Someone on this blog…well…I am not impressed.

I’m very impressed. There are 8 million lawyer jokes in the naked city. And you can find all of them right here.

All he needs to do is play hockey. No doubt in my mind if he plays he will produce at the required level – as he has done in his return.

Assuming health for the rest of the year, we have a substantil and top prospect turing pro next fall.

  20. OriginalPouzar says:

I’m not the smartest one out there but I think I’m taking heat by expressing my opinion that our captain isn’t living up to my expectations and “needs to be better”.

No worries at all, I acknowledge how unpopular an opinion it is especially in light of his increasing point totals.

I may have been aggressive in my initial statements of expectation but I stand by my general premise.

Will this expression keep me from a guess spot on the Lowdown?

I can take the heat and the lawyer jokes – no worries at all.
