In 1995, the scouting report on Radek Dvorak went like this: Excellent, fast skater with good balance and acceleration. A natural, gifted scorer with a wide selection of shots. Goes for the net, is cool and clever and effective in his offensive game.
Passes are accurate, crisp and hard. Sees and uses his linemates well. Very good stickhandler, high overall skill level. Good two-way player, effective in his defensive game. Could use his size and strength better when checking, needs more muscle and weight but is already now a complete, effective player and leader on and off the ice.
Excellent hockey sense and very good attitude.
Would you say he delivered on that promise? In the history of the NHL draft, would Radek Dvorak be considered a solid #10 overall pick, a disappointment or something in between?
