Devan Dubnyk: He’s got a .944 SP in 2 games in the AHL and a 1.58GAA. Asiaoil has been trumpeting this guy since junior days. Although it’s way too early to get giddy fact is that the Oilers have sent guys to the AHL and watched them put up GAA’s that exceed anything in Boeing’s numbering system so when a prospect goalie does well it’s okay to dream.
Rob Schremp: 3gp, 1-1-2 in Springfield, with the goal on the PP. Important season for him in this organization.
Roman Tesliuk: Signed with the Metallurg Serov of the Russian League but hasn’t played yet (or at least I can’t find a record of it).
Geoff Paukovich: Signed with the Oilers and turned pro but has not played for Springfield or Stockton yet (he’s on the Springfield roster).
Liam Reddox: He’s had an impact, playing on a good line in Springfield and is 3gp, 0-2-2. Interesting player to watch this season.
Bryan Young: He’s -3 in 3gp for Springfield with zero points (of course).
Stephane Goulet: He’s scored one goal in a couple of Springfield games.
Tyler Spurgeon: He’s injured. I can’t find exactly what’s wrong listed.
Bjorn Bjurling: He’s in the SEL this season, 2gp so far and a .900SP with 3.14GAA. His stats are inferior to the starter (.934SP) Enroth.
Andrew Cogliano: There are so many rookies getting attention right now it’s kind of obscuring the fact that this guy is getting results every game. 3gp, 1-2-3 in his first three AHL games would have had me impressed.
Taylor Chorney: His season opens this weekend.
Danny Syvret: 3gp, 0-1-1 +1 with Springfield. He’s not so far down the depth chart that a callup is impossible, just less likely than last season.
Robby Dee: Off to Maine, where his season starts on the weekend as well.
Chris VandeVelde: His season begins this weekend too, he’s apparently earned a much bigger role on his team with 30 points being mentioned as a possibility by some of the HF group.
Slava Trukhno: 2gp, 1-0-1 with Springfield. Had a nice TC and started well in AHL.
Fredrik Pettersen: SEL player now, 6gp, 1-1-2
Matt Glasser: Another college kid who starts playing this weekend.
Jeff Petry: In NCAA now, his team starts their season on the weekend. I’m really looking forward to following him this season.
Theo Peckham: Turns 20 next month, he was sent to the ECHL this week.
Bryan Pitton: Not getting much love in the OHL this season. Some kid named Patrick Killeen is eating his lunch.
Cody Wild: Starts this weekend for Providence. Hope their offense is better this year.
Alexander Bumagin: Has 2 goals in 11 games in the RSL. Ex-Oiler minor leaguer and former Blackhawk Martin St. Pierre (7pts/14gms) is on that team.
Sam Gagner: Made the NHL club in his first try and has gotten some results (3gp, 0-2-2). No matter what happens from here, Gagner has impressed everyone.
Alex Plante: Injured until this week, he played in his first junior game and picked up a point on the weekend.
Riley Nash: He’s gone to Cornell, they don’t start to play until October 27th.
Linus Omark: Small winger has gone 7gp, 1-4-5 in SEL and is tied for the lead in points on the team. Impressive for the 20-year old.
Milan Kytnar: 1 assist in 5 WHL games with Kelowna. 9 other forwards are ahead of him.
William Quist: 3gp, 0-1-1 in the Swedish Jr League.
