In the two games thus far, the Falcons have given up 4EV goals and Chorney has been on the ice for 3 of them.
On the PP, Springfield has surrendered 3 powerplay goal and Chorney was on the ice for 2 of them.
Which isn’t to say he’s been horrible, just on the ice for a lot of goals for and against. He’s played in 2 games, has 2 assists and is Even.
Put another way, Springfield has scored 7 goals and given up 7 goals. Chorney has been on the ice when Springfield scored 4 goals (1 on the PP, 3 at EVs) and 5 goals against (2 on the PP, 3 at EVs).
There are several things we can gather from this: he’s playing a lot, the Falcons are on the road and unable to protect the rookie (certainly in the Providence game) and the AHL is a tough place for rookie defensemen.
