Guy quotes Kevin Prendergast as saying he’ll return this fall for Oilers training camp.
Hrabal’s problems seemed twofold: he was injured early (very early) in TC and he is undersized for the NA game. The Oilers website described him as 6.01, 180 when they signed him May 30, 2008 but he was clearly smaller than the description.
Hrabal didn’t put up much offense but was an EV against mid-level AHL competition. Based on math it’s not clear to me that Hrabal was the guy who should have been sent to the ECHL (as was the case with Cody Wild earlier) and it’s safe to begin questioning the decision making process in Springfield this season.
