Olympics 2010, G4: Canada vs. Deutschland

The poor Germans. There’s the potential for this to be a very bad day for the Fatherland, the worst since John Cleese did that goose-step in Fawlty Towers.

I was please with last nights ice dancing win by Virtue and Moir. I’ve lived with a woman for decades who has been cheering for Canadian figure skaters and have to say that the gold was deserved (didn’t help Manley), obvious (the Americans ripped it and then the Canadians rocked it) and true. It was nice sitting next to my sweetheart and see her smile at an Olympic figure skating event after all those years.

Canada has thrown Martin Brodeur under the bus and Luongo is the new great hope. The king is dead, long live the queen.
