The Real Thing?
Devan Dubnyk is playing well by anyone’s standards. Edmonton’s latest rookie goalie has been hanging around awhile but this is his first extended period as the starter.
So far this season, his .929 save percentage ranks him 9th among NHL goaltenders. By contrast, Nikolai Khabibulin’s SP was a poor .879 which tied him for 44th among NHL goalers this season.
Is THIS the real Devan Dubnyk? If he plays this well in most of his starts then NK’s injuries don’t matter at all. Right? And what of Gerber, baby?
It’s an interesting time to talk about the Oilers in goal.
