The more I’m reading about Oscar Klefbom the more interesting the story gets, and I’m wondering if there are resources available to fill in more of the story.
I went through the SEL games to count his TOI and found that he was listed in the lineup 23 times but there were only 16 games where there was a TOI total. I counted 193 minutes, which is about 12 minutes a game for the 16 games he’s listed as playing. He played as much as 18:57 and as little as 2:49. I think there were three examples of what we might call games when he played a regular shift.
At the World U18 junior championships, Klefbom scored well (6gp, 1-3-4 +4, his D partner Brodin scored 4gp, 0-1-1 +2 in the same series). I’m wondering if there are TOI totals for any of the other leagues Klefbom played in, and have searched awhile but was unable to find it.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t out there. If you’ve come across any information regarding Klefbom’s time-on-ice, or how he was used in 2010-11, please pass it along.
This is a very interesting player.
