Nurse Ratched hasn’t decided on the punishment; it could be a harsh glance or something from the medicine cabinet. Either way, it’ll arrive in due time.

Helene Elliott tweets today in regard tot he LAK-EDM deal that sent Ryan Smyth to the Oilers and possibly Colin Fraser the other way. The latest tweet:

Elliott: am told Oilers submitted their position in grievance filed by Kings over Fraser injury. no hearing skedded yet. Bettman can rule w/o hearing

I love the wording. The NHL’s ruling process is absolutely crazy. No clues about time line, no real idea about range of punishment and really no closure for anyone–most especially Colin Fraser.

I wonder if the powers that be were sent “upstairs” years ago.
