Apparently Hall and Corey Power Potterplay are back and Khabibulin’s extended rest has him good to go as well. The lines:
I like those lines, although if we’re telling the truth then VandeVelde on the 4th line in Edmonton and Lander in OKC makes more sense to me. I do think it’s time to send Paajarvi down, the kid just refuses to shave those sideburns. When people won’t listen, there’s not a lot you can do.
The top 20 is completed, I’ll have a wrap up post tomorrow and detail 21-30. I can say that the graduating class from last winter–Hall, Eberle, Paajarvi, Omark, Dubnyk–left a large hole so this year’s edition is kind of all over the place after about #15.
Tyler Bunz not making the WJ team is a surprise, but Oiler fans will be able to see some good young defensemen under the team’s umbrella. Oscar Klefbom, Martin Marincin and Martin Gernat are all solid prospects and we should keep a watchful eye on them over the tournament.
I don’t have much to say about tonight’s game. PHX lost last night and maybe they’ll be down after the work they put in, but then again the Oilers are on the road so there’ll be some exposure. Predicting this young team would be easier if we knew what coach Renney planned to do in regard to matchups.
If Hall and Potter return, that’ll be something to watch as well.
