What a crock.
I would take the swede on my team any day and you can certainly make a strong case for him as the winner of the calder.
however; still believe the nuge is special and will look favourable by comparison 15 years from now
They just interviewed Tambo on TSN
He said he hoped to have the pieces in place next year for Nuge to take another shot at the Calder
I would like to take that piece of ice with the rut and bring back around the barn…..and just ..just….melt it……..
Harding’s new 3 year deal for $5.7M might be an interesting marker for DD’s next contract. DD is younger and higher draft pedigree but also RFA vs UFA and very similar stats.
I would be happy to see the Oilers lock DD up for 4 years at $2M per. Dicey to give term to a young/unproven goalie but with the cap rising and the Oilers a “have” team that can bury a contract in the minors that is a risk I would be willing to take in the hopes of having a sweetheart deal when you need to pay the big 3 (or 4).

Bah – Eastern communists
The fact that some of the voters gave RNH fourth and fifth place votes tells you what you need to know about the eastern media.
Are vote totals available? Yes anything but 1st or 2nd can’t really be defended.
And Neal finished 1st in LW votes and 3rd in RW votes.

I’m kind of glad they screwed him over – it seems his omission from Canada’s WJ team seems to have spurred him on, and this can only help as well.
