20 year old defender playing in the SEL, he’s an interesting prospect. He’s 6.0, 176 which puts him in Josef Hrabal territory. Gustafsson has pro experience–he has played 41 games in the SEL. He appears to be signed for next season, and Djurgaden seems to be heading for a different league in 12-13. He had 104 pims in 2010-11, can’t imagine what he must of done to get that many pims.

  • Stu MacGregor: “Offensive, skilled defenceman. Again, a puck-mover we can hopefully fit in with the rest of our group to give us some puck movers and some size.”

Killing it, LT. These rounds have been fast & furious.

Spent 10 minutes chasing down 1988-born Erik Gustafsson from the Flyers pool. Heh.

    I think I like this one. :)

    Is this him?

    Can’t be, Philly prospect.

  4. fuzzy muppet says:

If they’re gonna draft for need they should be taking guys that can play down the middle.

  5. Zack says:

Maybe he’ll head to the AHL? Interesting pick, seems more like a Stu and Team pick. Is Nick Ebert still available?

This NHL Network coverage is abysmal.

Better than anyone else unfortunately. Can’t believe TSN doesn’t have it live.

I think putting it on the NHL Network is a scheme to try to get hockey fans to subscribe to the channel.

Where’s Mike Mayock? I want Mike Mayock!

  10. Ducey says:

The chance of this guy playing in the NHL at that size are slim.

I like the picks until this guy. (and that includes Moroz).

  11. skidplate says:

There are plenty of guys smaller. All it takes is time in the gym and he can put on 10 to 15 lbs.

is this the obscure euro that will come over to the CHL??

    He’s too old I think.

  14. Zack says:

I would take a run on Nick Ebert now.

  15. Marc says:

I would not be surprised if Mr Khaira found himself in the WHL next year though.

  16. Downright Fierce says:

Prokhorkin to the Kings. Damn, damn, damn. Cup winners probably have the best chance to pry him out of KHL. I’m happy with Zharkov & early returns on Gustafsson seem good.

LT with a great RT of Landeskog calling Erik his best friend. Gotta count for something right?

  17. Chris says:

Well it seems like we took the Great Russian Hope and then a slew of projects. Hopefully some of them work out and can help the Super Friends win the cup.

    Joey Laleggia

    Another over-ager. And he’s 5’9. WTF?

  19. Chris says:

Well those are pretty decent numbers in a good american university program and it is what the 7th round now?

  20. Rondo says:

Since Burke is in the giving mode lets take a shot at Kulemin
