G18 2017-18: Golden Knights at Oilers

It’s a distant memory now, but I can still remember the excitement when one of the “second six” appeared on national television. You rarely saw any of them (for some reason I remember Minnesota a lot) but every once in a long while the Flyers, Penguins, Blues, North Stars, Kings and even Seals would make the broadcasts. In 1970, Vancouver made the NHL and we saw them out west quite a bit, leading to a change in viewing habits at my house (Dad didn’t have much use for the Canucks).  Bottom line: I never missed an expansion game, not ever. It was an education, from “how not to play defense, kids!” to Bobby Sheehan’s amazing sideburns. You can never be a fan of anything like you were a fan of that one thing as a kid.

The special Lowetide offer is here. I sincerely hope you can join me and thanks to all who have ventured forth to say kinds things and disagree with me at an astonishing clip! Nice to see you not holding back!

Great feedback so far, very much appreciated. I’ll have an item on Oscar Klefbom in the next day or so.

  • Oilers in November 2015: 2-4-1, goal differential -5
  • Oilers in November 2016: 2-4-1, goal differential -6
  • Oilers in November 2017: 3-3-1, goal differential -2

G8 in November 15-16 was a 5-1 win over the NJ Devils, last year a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. If the Oilers win or tie this evening, the club will remain the most successful Todd McLellan November team, Oilers edition.

  • Oilers 15-16: 6-11-0, goal differential -10
  • Oilers 16-17: 9-7-1, goal differential +1
  • Oilers 17-18: 6-9-2, goal differential -13

Whenever I see this line it amazes me how closely this year is marching along with 2015-16. Is there a magnificent plot twist to come? Hurry! G18 in 2015-16 was a 4-3 loss to Los Angeles. G18 in 2016-17 was a 4-2 loss to Los Angeles, as the Oilers continued to bleed. A win tonight gets Edmonton within three points of last year’s Oilers and that would be a fairly heartening piece of news.

  • At home to: Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Detroit (Expected: 2-1-0) (Actual 1-2-0)
  • On the road to: NYI, New Jersey, NYR, Washington (Expected: 1-2-1) (Actual: 2-1-1)
  • At home to: Vegas, St. Louis (Expected 1-1-0) (Actual: 0-0-0)
  • On the road to: Dallas, St. Louis, Detroit, Buffalo, Boston (Expected 2-2-1) (Actual 0-0-0)
  • At home to: Arizona, Toronto (Expected 1-1-0) (Actual 0-0-0)
  • Overall expected result: 7-7-2, 16 points in 16 games
  • Current results: 3-3-1, seven points in seven games

I have tonight as a win for Edmonton, no guarantees but the Golden Knights have injury issues and are struggling. The home team has a hurting PDO, maybe it gets healthy in a quick hurry.

  • This is the Oilers current roster, I have the forwards by 5×5/60, the blue by Corsi for 5×5, and the goalies by 5×5 save percentage.
  • The McDavid line looks good to me despite recent struggles as a trio. Maroon should have cashed in both weekend games and both 97 and 29 had successful road trips overall. A lot of business gets done at four-on-four by the dynamic duo, seems we forget about that or make it out to be less important. Game state is interesting but goals have equal value no matter the circumstance.
  • The Nuge line looks grand, a real positive during a year when we could use a little good news. Lucic and Nuge are forming an effective duo and if the friendly giant can join in this could be a fantastic second line.
  • The Strome line is Strome and a couple of guys trying to survive in the NHL. Probably one of the weakest fourth lines in the business. Drake Caggiula drawing back in would be a positive.
  • The Letestu line wishes it was the Strome line. The trio barely sees the ice 5×5.
  • Nurse-Larsson are running the possession racket very well, this is a nice chapter for Nurse five years in. You need him to play like this all season long but a very nice start. Larsson is consistent and quality.
  • Klefbom-Benning is above water and can wheel. Tough single moments but the overall has some positives. It got a little crazy (verbal around Klef) on the weekend, people need to remember what he can bring.
  • Russell-Gryba-Auvitu isn’t the sexy but the numbers I value have them in the black.
  • Cam Talbot and Laurent Brossoit are both posting solid 5×5 save percentages. The Oilers PK has been the world’s biggest elevator shaft this season.

It’s early but I thought it would be interesting to see who is posting strong numbers early. I included Kailer Yamamoto here even though he’s played just a few games, Tyler Benson is also just getting started. Forwards who are impressing include Graham McPhee, Aapeli Rasanen, Kirill Maksimov and Ostap Safin. Defenders of note are Ethan Bear, Caleb Jones and Filip Berglund.Nick Ellis is the king of the goalies.

My personal Josh Leivo watch continues, Leafs sending down Gauthier allows the team to hold on to the skill winger for now.

At 10 this morning, we’re a full boat and we are locked and loaded. TSN1260, scheduled to appear:

  • Pierre Lebrun, TSN & The Athletic. Oilers as we near US Thanksgiving and what a HHOF cast.
  • Jonathan Willis, The Athletic. Is Todd McLellan wrong to keep McDavid and Draisaitl together?
  • Scott Cullen, TSN. A fabulous weekend of CFL playoffs with another on the way.
  • Andy McNamara, TSN. NFL teams still trying to sort themselves out in the playoff race.

10-1260 text, @Lowetide on twitter. See you on the radio!

  1. OriginalPouzar says:

Very nice shift by the 1st line – Drai should have buried that.

McDavid actually draws a PIM for a slash on the hands.

Very curious if Jesse gets some PP time (last PP we had Jokinen was on PP2).

  2. Crazy Pedestrian says:

    Oh Drai!

I know right?? Time to toss that stick… it’s a dud

  3. OriginalPouzar says:

I would still like to see a Nuge push to QB PP1 – I think he’s a better PP QB than McDavid at this point.

  4. Ice Sage says:

Vegas are very god at getting pucks on net.
When the season is over, I’d love to hear a ‘behind the scenes’ reportage on how they built the team. Quite impressive.

  5. OriginalPouzar says:

    Jesse on PP2

  6. Munny says:

    Nuge knocks one in nicely

  7. Lowetide says:

    Nuge scored.

  8. OriginalPouzar says:

Nuge with a PP goal from Maroon.

  9. Pouzar says:

I would still like to see a Nuge push to QB PP1 – I think he’s a better PP QB than McDavid at this point.

    How bout PP2? 🙂

  10. Material pocession says:

    Excellent *tents fingers*

  11. OriginalPouzar says:

That was a great pass by Maroon.

  12. Pouzar says:

    They connected like that before.

  13. GMB3 says:

I would still like to see a Nuge push to QB PP1 – I think he’s a better PP QB than McDavid at this point.

    I agree.

  14. Munny says:

  15. Lowetide says:

    Maroon scored.

  16. Material pocession says:

    Holy shit what a goal!

  17. Kinger_Oil.redux says:

    – Its time to kick the living shit out of this team, and fu%k you sh$t sh%, and sh$t PDO, and sh$t special teams. Go on a heater, and pop in a lot of goals.

  18. Crazy Pedestrian says:

  19. OriginalPouzar says:

What a beauty goal by the first line – Patty!

  20. ashley says:

That was virtually identical play to one in the first few games of the season. Great pass from Maroon to Nuge. Same two guys. Same spots on the ice.

  21. jake70 says:

    Nice shot there by Nuge…

  22. Pouzar says:

  23. treevojo says:

Vegas is just what the doctor ordered

  24. OriginalPouzar says:

Great pass by Drai – great drive to the open area by Maroon.

  25. Pouzar says:

    I see you OV2

  26. OriginalPouzar says:

    Auvitu off the cross-bar.

  27. russ99 says:

    Whoo hoo!!

    More meat!

  28. ashley says:

Some terrible goaltending on the Maroon goal. What was Legace doing?

  29. Munny says:

Iron man Auvitu. Could’ve been a couple of goals, actually.

  30. Ice Sage says:

Remenda says ‘Manny Legace’… can’t fault him.

  31. OriginalPouzar says:

    I’m happy with that period.

The second half was pure domination – Oilers coming in waves.

Drai is back after a few off games.

  32. Lucinius says:

The NHL shop is run by Fanatics, and they offer jersey assurance which from their site includes:

A free replacement jersey, if the active pro player you purchased switches teams within 90 days of purchase.
Claims need to be filed within 14 days of the qualifying event.

I would say it’s definitely worth him looking into.

I actually had no idea that was a thing (I haven’t bought NHL merchandise in.. 20 years?). I’ll let him know, thanks.

  33. ashley says:

3-0. Worst lead to have for any Oilers team.

  34. Material pocession says:

Vegas defence men are having nightmares handling Draisaitl down low.

  35. Seismic Source says:

And their backup is an emergency recall from kamloops?

  36. Pouzar says:

Nurse calm as **** out there.
Sorry, I love his game right now.

  37. russ99 says:

That was nice. Gotta be a confidence boost.

Let’s roll em out of the arena in the second.

  38. npanciroli says:

  39. hunter1909 says:

This is a “hunter1909” type of game.

3-0 and the visitors are left scratching their heads, looking for ‘positives’.

  40. Lowetide says:

    After One

    3-0 Edmonton
    Shots: 13-5 Edmonton
    Corsi for 5×5: 14-7 Edmonton

  41. Durag says:

Oilers look pretty good since trading Jokinen.

  42. Lucinius says:

Well now, that was a great way to end a period.

    Always love seeing RNH score.

  43. Pouzar says:

I am sick for Khaira…the hockey Gords really hate our home grown grinders.

  44. Melvis says:

I’m gonna note that shorty, just in case it marks the season turnaround.

  45. Material pocession says:

I am sick for Khaira…the hockey Gords really hate our home grown grinders.

    What did I miss?

  46. Pouzar says:

Material pocession: What did I miss?

I didn’t catch all of it but I think he hurt his arm/wrist.

  47. franksterra says:

    Material pocession,

    Yeah what happened?

  48. Crazy Pedestrian says:

Pouzar: I didn’t catch all of it but I think he hurt his arm/wrist.

    Seriously?! When did that happen???

  49. Dicky94 says:

Didn’t look like much happened. Hopefully not too serious.

  50. who says:

Well they’re firing on all cylinders tonight. Hope Kharia can come back. Everytime one of the young wingers shows an offensive pulse they get hurt.
I see a lot of 2 on 1’s in Russell’s future if they stick with these d pairings.

  51. Oil2Oilers says:

    Regressing to meat is fun

  52. Pouzar says:

Didn’t look like much happened. Hopefully not too serious.

I hope not but I didn’t see him after that.

  53. Dicky94 says:

I wonder if he hurt it sliding into the boards on his assist.

  54. Pouzar says:

    I see you OV2

    I thought that was him.

Patrick Maroon (5) ASST: Leon Draisaitl (8), Yohann Auvitu (1)

  55. DBO says:

Did pakarinen come back after the shot block?

Cammelleri in at 3 LW with Strome and Cagguila or Khaira? Super sprite line with Caggs, and Khaira on the 4th with Kassian has our fast heavy line. Would be an ibteresting bottom 6.

Real question is at what point does Khaira replace Letestu as 4C, allowing the bottom 6 to be
    Cammelleri Strome Slepeshev
    Cagguila Khaira Kassian

  56. npanciroli says:

    I like that bottom 6

  57. Pouzar says:

DBO: Did pakarinen come back after the shot block?

  58. leadfarmer says:

    After One

    3-0 Edmonton
    Shots: 13-5 Edmonton
    Corsi for 5×5: 14-7 Edmonton

    Box cats are alive again!!!

  59. leadfarmer says:

    Pouzar: Yup

Now if we could only trade Pac-Man for someone that can skate and play hockey

  60. Munny says:

Wow a shot attempts graphic and Spec saying “shooting percentage”. The world she is a changing.

  61. OriginalPouzar says:

    Nice to see Khaira back.

  62. Pouzar says:

leadfarmer: Now if we could only trade Pac-Man for someone that can skate and play hockey

And the play dies on Pak’s stick again. SIGH

  63. OriginalPouzar says:

Nice start to the second – more of the same – great forecheck and lots of pressure.

  64. Pouzar says:

In Dhaka. Listening to Oilers on 630 CHED stream (and reading Lowetide updates) before biryani breakfast on my travels in Bangladesh. Thank you internet and Oilers for scoring 3 goals in 1st period. Starting my day out with a big smile. #MiracleofLivingin2017

  67. Munny says:

    Shoulda would coulda Caggiula

  68. OriginalPouzar says:

Nice pass by Auvitu – Drake almost buries goal 4.

  69. Pouzar says:

    OV2 calling for the puck.

  70. Pouzar says:

Not calling the hook I take it.

  71. Pouzar says:

OV2 could have 3 pts tonight.

  72. Lewis Grant says:

OriginalPouzar: That was a great pass by Maroon.

He waits until he has just enough of an opening between Miller’s skates and then immediately threads it through.

I really hope he’s willing to take a big hometown discount to keep playing with McDavid. And it might actually be in his interest to do that.

  73. Lewis Grant says:

    deardylan: my travels in Bangladesh.

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone say that (and I’ve travelled/lived in Pakistan.) What’s there to do in Dhaka?

  74. OriginalPouzar says:

Who the eff doesn’t love Jesse?

  75. Pouzar says:

    Interference wtf!

  76. OriginalPouzar says:

Player of the Game: Equipment Manager!

  78. Munny says:

    I’ll take it!

  79. treevojo says:

Just get it on net boys.

  80. Ice Sage says:

    Boss Hogg?

  81. OriginalPouzar says:

Benning deflects the Klef shot for a goal – that’s a weird thing to type.

  82. treevojo says:

    Beauty tip Matt.

  83. haters says:

The sound of Vegas coming back to earth is palpable

Was better than I originally thought on the replay.

Hey knowledgeable folks out here: looking on NHL site at jerseys, what is difference between Adidas “royal authentic” jerseys and the “Fanatic Breakaway branded”? Is Adidas from last year, fanatic this year? Thanks in advance to any who know.

    Also…whooo! Liking this game!

  86. Munny says:

    Ice Sage:

    Boss Hogg?

    well done

  87. OriginalPouzar says:

    Ice Sage:

    Boss Hogg?

    Well played!

  88. Pouzar says:

    So…the West eh. #WeWant5

  89. Lowetide says:

    Your English is fine, Jesse.

  90. OriginalPouzar says:

Very nice open ice hit against the rush by Benning – wow!

    Jezzuz H OV2 makin me a fan.

  92. Pouzar says:

  93. Lucinius says:

Four goal lead worse than a three goal lead?

  94. Lucinius says:

    Pouzar: Argh!

    I blame you.

  95. GMB3 says:

    Jezzuz H OV2 makin me a fan.

    Horrible on the GA

  96. Pouzar says:

    That was a dirty snipe.

  97. Lucinius says:

Pak with the Smytty muffin shot there.

  98. Crazy Pedestrian says:

Damn, JP no luck with that pass…

  99. Munny says:

HDSC/60 might be off the charts.

  100. Pouzar says:

    needed that shift

  101. Lucinius says:

Oilers have four goals tonight and with even just average bounces could easily have had another three.

  102. Munny says:

    Drew Costanza!!

  103. deardylan says:

    Lewis Grant,

    Hey Lewis,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Why Bangladesh? Why Dhaka? Whats is here. My opinion…

Its all about the People to me: Friendliest people I have met since living in Alberta 18 years ago. My pickup at hotel was a student and he ended up being my tour guide yesterday and spent 8 hours bringing me around his city and when I tried paying him he refused to take money. He was so proud of his city, history and food that he wanted me to experience it !!

Food – Biryanis made with mutton, beef, chicken with fresh chopped garlic, onion, little red chilis to add extra wooomph to your spice-coloured rice. If you go to Brick Lane and enjoy Indian in London (most is actually from Bangladeshis living there) – this is the original brick lane!

Rikshaw experience- they still drive you around by bicycle-power. Check out wild old dhaka town with river market, its like travelling back in time 100 years.

Jumping point for Tea hills -still handpicked tea bushes (Srimangal) in North and River delta (Sundarbans) with tigers (read they still kill about 50 people a year) and ancient otter fishing technique (they train otters to help them catch the fish)

Connect to Ancient Religions: Allowed to visit Mosques, Hindu Temples, Buddhist Pagodas that have shaped cutures around the world. So many different religions to learn about and experience!

Almost 0 tourists. So you have most of the experience to yourself. No group buses.

There are $100 return flight to Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka.

So if you enjoy time travel, nature and also a wild city before you travel out to countryside… this is one of the last untouched places for travellers. Come before everyone finds out and starts travelling here!

Tell me more about your experience in Pakistan. Would you recommend travelling there this year or next year?

  104. jake70 says:

That pass from Connor to Drai shows the awkwardness sometimes with all 3 forwards being left shots. . If 97 feels he has to pass there, with a right shot, that’s in the net in my non expert opinion.

  105. Lucinius says:

Well, that was scummy by Neal.

  106. Crazy Pedestrian says:

Huh… a charging call after the buzzer? Bad J. Neal… You won’t get to play with McDavid making stupid plays like that!

  107. Lowetide says:

    After Two:

4-1 Edmonton (1-1 in that second period)
Shots 24-11 Edmonton (10-4 Edmonton in that period)
Corsi for 5×5: 33-23 Edmonton (19-16 Edmonton in that period)

  108. Gerta Rauss says:

Lots of fun through 2 periods

    1 more to go boys..!!

  109. Crazy Pedestrian says:

So… apparently after a vezina-like performance against the oilers, Holtby fell apart against Nashville… 4 goals against on 7 shots in the 2nd period…

  110. GMB3 says:

Well, that was scummy by Neal.

Nothin new for him. The #AskNeal hashtag was one of my all time faves on twitter

  111. GMB3 says:

Who did Neal take a run at after the buzzer?

  112. Pouzar says:

Who did Neal take a run at after the buzzer?

  113. Justthestatsman says:

    Pouzar: Benning

Looked to me like Neal was trying for a head shot. Glad Benning was paying attention or he might have needed a trip to the quiet room.

  114. OriginalPouzar says:

Looking forward to the third – if nothing else, do NOT give up an early goal.

  115. Lewis Grant says:

You make a pretty good case. I’m a big fan of untouched places with friendly people, away from the tourist crowds.

Are the Tea hills anything like the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia? They were definitely on my list of Top 10 most beautiful places I’ve been to.

I lived in Peshawar for four months. It was fascinating, but not easy or fun. The Pushtun culture is incredibly hospitable – and incredibly suspicious. The latter pervades every aspect of life. Nor is it particularly safe, even by the standards of someone who travels to places like Bangladesh. The weather was just slightly chilly in Jan-Feb, very nice in Mar-Apr, and you wouldn’t want to be there after April: 45C and the electricity often goes down when it gets that hot.

I can’t say I’d really recommend Pakistan – it’s tough slugging without much of a reward. The exception, from what I heard everywhere there, is Kashmir: tough slugging with a great reward. The Pakistanis all call it “heaven”. I never made it there, but if I had unlimited time and money I’d do the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad to the Chinese border, maybe even to Kashgar. It features three of the eight highest peaks in the world.

  116. Munny says:

    Lol… whazzisname scored!

  117. treevojo says:

    Jedi mind trick

  118. OriginalPouzar says:

    PP1 goal!

  119. Pouzar says:

    Jedi Mind tricked it in

  120. OriginalPouzar says:

I think McDavid should get credit for that one.

  121. OriginalPouzar says:

Neal makes up for his bad PIM.

  122. Lucinius says:

Well, Vegas is out-scoring us 2-0 in the third…

  123. Crazy Pedestrian says:

    Damn… nurse with no stick…

  124. Munny says:

    Jedi mind trick

Good things happen when Deryk Engelland goes to the net.

  125. Munny says:

Oilers might want to note that Vegas is still skating.

  126. OriginalPouzar says:

Its nice to be able to outscore some iffy tending.

Talbot hasn’t been bad per se but he’s fighting it a bit.

Tough to get such few shots.

  127. Android says:

    No worries, glad to help!
One note of warning; their customer service can be very irritating to deal with.

  128. OriginalPouzar says:

There is the fourth line to come back after the goal against and get some pressure and get us back on track – solid game from them.

  129. Lucinius says:

Games like this can be hard for goalies; you actually want to face a lot of shots.

Going to hurt that sv% even more.

  130. Crazy Pedestrian says:

    Deez bouncing pucks is annoying

  131. Munny says:

    The Grim Ripper from McDeity

  132. treevojo says:

    Like that shot

  133. Crazy Pedestrian says:

  134. OriginalPouzar says:

    Nice snipe by Connor!

  135. Lowetide says:

    The tumblers have clicked.

  136. jake70 says:

    That’s what I’m talkin bout

  137. Pouzar says:

Oh yeah, we have THAT guy.

  138. Lucinius says:

Some sloppy play in the d-zone gets followed up by some real smart o-zone play by Drai and McDavid to restore the four goal lead again.

  139. Munny says:

    Gord I hope so.

  140. Pouzar says:

  141. hunter1909 says:

McDavid has gone up from 20th or so in points into the NHL Top Ten inside tonight’s game.

  142. Pouzar says:

F^ckin Bull Shit. Oilers always get called on that.

  143. jake70 says:

    BS call…

  144. Ice Sage says:

    Neal auditioning well.

  145. Munny says:

    Too much fun

  146. OriginalPouzar says:

    Beauty snipe by Nuge.

    The Witch is back!

  153. jake70 says:

    That’s also what I’m talkin bout…..nice Nuge…

  154. Munny says:

Dangerous play there behind the net for Nurse. Easy to get hurt on those.

  155. Ice Sage says:

    Nugge is golden

  156. Crazy Pedestrian says:

JP needs a point guys… get him that point!

  157. Pouzar says:

  158. jake70 says:

Oilers reminding Vegas, I mean Las Vegas they are an expansion team. Some team had to do it…

  159. Lucinius says:

Love that play by RNH there. Sold the pass option and sold short side shot option perfectly.

He looks a bit faster this year to my eye.

  160. gogliano says:

How does RNH fall short of 50 this year?

  161. Crazy Pedestrian says:

Well… Vegas officially has the goalie curse…

  162. Seismic Source says:

That goalie looks like he’s 12

  163. Lucinius says:

How does RNH fall short of 50 this year?

Injury. So don’t think about it. Ignore that he’s on pace for 36 goals and 64 points (a career year in both points and points per game). Just ignore it.

Nice to see Vegas put in the fourth stringer. Might as well give him a taste of NHL action.

  164. Ice Sage says:

Tough debut gig for the BC kid

  165. Lucinius says:

    Ice Sage:
Tough debut gig for the BC kid

Mmm, not necessarily. It’s now a nothing game for the Oilers. We’ll likely let up on the game. Vegas will play hard to protect him.

  166. GMB3 says:

JP that did not look good

  167. Seismic Source says:

I hope we don’t light this kid up. Wouldn’t be fair.

  168. geowal says:

    Junior goalie time

Lucinius: Mmm, not necessarily. It’s now a nothing game for the Oilers. We’ll likely let up on the game. Vegas will play hard to protect him.

True, little to lose – just the intimidation of the Oiler firepower tonight is daunting! Edit – the refs got the kids back!

  170. delooper says:

Did I miss the thread on the Jokinen for Cammeleri trade?

  171. Munny says:

    I disagree with those ones.

  172. russ99 says:

Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone in the NHL wear a Kamloops Blazers goalie mask.

  173. GMB3 says:

Looks to me like Merril pushed him in

  174. OriginalPouzar says:

They only calld that goal off and that PIM because of the goalie being an emergency call-up and the game is out of hand.

  175. russ99 says:

Sketchy call but you don’t want to embarrass the kid.

  176. gogliano says:

Even up because they gave a weak call to save the junior goalie.

  177. Jaxon says:

I like that call. Even if it was wrong. I’m actually cheering for the Kamloops Blazers kid. I hope he shuts the Oilers out for the rest of the game.

  178. Lucinius says:

The Maroon call was BS.. but tolerable BS due to context and the fact it is par for the course (which is sad).

    Nurse sold one.

  179. Munny says:

Tubes. Nice goal but almost too fancy.

  180. Lucinius says:

Getting Letestu going on the powerplay could be huge.

    Poor goalie.

  181. Gerta Rauss says:

Jr goalie or not, you’re not going to stop that one

  182. russ99 says:

Ok guys, 8 is enough, ease off.

  183. Crazy Pedestrian says:

    Poor furguson… no chance…

  184. OriginalPouzar says:

That would be 8 – Letestu saves his PP1 job even though it was the fourth line PP.

I don’t think I agree with not using the normal PP personnel because its a blowout – the PP has had a good game but they still have work to do.

Mercy is for the weak. — Kobra Kai

  186. Ben says:

    Much regress. Very meat.

  187. Crazy Pedestrian says:

    Much regress. Very meat.

Yes…very much. Too bad they couldn’t have spread some of this “regress” across the last couple games…

  188. Jethro Tull says:

Mercy is for the weak. — Kobra Kai

    Sweep the leg.

  189. Android says:

Yeah, I’m hoping they try not to embarrass him, It’s not his fault every goalie in the organization is hurt.

  190. Lucinius says:

It’d be nice if either RNH or McDavid could get a hat trick.

  191. Nuclear leak says:

Establish that you’re going to kick their ass every game, Vegas can win their first against the Oilers in 5 or 6 seasons. Stomp them.

  192. OriginalPouzar says:

Good game – I’ll take it.

    Bring on the Blues!

  193. Gerta Rauss says:

    We needed that

  194. Crazy Pedestrian says:

Just heard that Khaira’s arm reinjured… dang

  195. Gret99zky says:

Nice guys finish last. — Green Day

  196. Lucinius says:

    Hope Khaira is okay.

Oilers went into tonight’s game on pace for -63 goal differential. After tonight’s game? -32.

Still a massive swing from last year. Need to get that closer to zero quick.

  197. Réal Goudenyéu says:

    Jethro Tull: Sweep the leg.

  198. Odd McSmellin says:

I predict Lowetide uses ‘When The Levee Breaks’ for tomorrow’s song.

  199. Gret99zky says:

    Who dressed Carly Agro tonight?

  200. Pouzar says:

Nuge on pace for 36 goals.
