A small, fleet skill winger delivered 99 points in 54 games with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL. Red Line Report says “first-round talent level” but are also critical about performances in Top Prospects Game and World Jr A Challenge. Red Line compares him in style to Jason Zucker.
This would have been a solid pick at No. 76 overall, even better at No. 100.
Sure 5’10 is “short” for the league but he’s listed at 190 and I would suggest that’s the number that really matters, no?

Apparently he was kind of chubby a la Ethan Bear, the Thunderbird version. He is no longer that body type and his body composition has drastically changed due to a fervent commitment to nutrition and training during the offseason.
Hopefully this translates into more speed/quickness and more effort on his play away from the puck.

Gets a 71 xPT fwd Chromiak at pick #128
Not off the board in my books. One of the top scorers in MHL last yr, linemate of last yrs 7th rounder Denezhkin. Massive but terrific hands, shot, skill, dangours on pk. Only drawback is a bit below avg skating apparently, which as we’ve seen can be fixed ala Leon. Would’ve loved this pick if not for other left here like Miettinen, Pashin, but still really like this pick. Swing for the fences.

Teams appear to be taking all the time they can. Plus, because teams are not all at the same location, it takes longer to talk with other GMs about trades and such
