I had Engaras on my list of Swedish prospects way back in 2017, saying “not much on him but he’s scoring pretty well” on this blog. Well, I lollygagged after that and still don’t have much on him. He’s playing college hockey now, for New Hampshire. He is 21, a RH center, and scored 25, 8-7-15 a year ago. He has a 19.3 NHLE.
Don’t let your ass hit the door while your running to the Flamers.
Sheesh after the franchise saved the season with it’s super-bubble. I tells ya dey get no respect
Nope.
The closest may have been 1991, when they took no D-men either. They did take two goalies though. (Oh, and their first pick that year? Their new scouting director, Tyler Wright.)

Crazy Pedestrian,
It’s the NHL Network. They definitely don’t care about the Oilers.
Sportsnet analysts didn’t speak about any oilers draft picks today. I don’t know if that’s a bad thing, or If they just don’t care about the oilers.
I know right. They are destined to cock-block us at everything!
Oilers go through the entire draft only drafting forwards.
Have they ever done that in any draft before?
Next year can we avoid picking after the Canes all the time??
Oilers pick Jeremias Lindewall from Sweden @ 200. 6’2″, 183 winger.
I hadn’t heard of him either, but reading more about him this is a sneaky good pick. RHC to boot.
Here are some articles.

Pashin, Hardie, Magnusson would all be great, just to name a few from LTs list.
Anyone know who the oilers should pick at 200? Don’t have a clue. Surprised they haven’t picked a Defenceman yet. Will they actually get through an entire draft without picking a D or G???
Yes…Lander and a Canadian Martin Gernat.
Interesting, was pretty highly touted as a young player in Sweden, got into some SHL games with Broberg’s current team already at 17 but didn’t get much in terms of ice time. Opted for the college route but I think because he had played games in a pro league he wasn’t allowed to play any games his first year.
No clue about his skillset at this time but as a teenager he was a pretty well rounded center with a good wrister if I recall correctly, character guy.
Would’ve loved Oskar Magnusson here if they were going Swede.
Calgary having the draft I think most of us would hope for. They need to fire that damn Treliving.
Quick search seems to reveal excellent skating and shot. Along with a year long suspension from the NCAA due to playing in Europe at some point when he shouldn’t have haha.
Who has the Bat Signal for Swedishposter?
