This team doesn’t have a goalie right now.
The gremlins are back.
Have we tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in?
In other news, Michigan won 2-1 in OT, so they will be Quinnipiac’s opponent on Thursday, which is actually when prospecting will resume.
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom gremlins or trolls will keep Tarkus from delivering the news.
I’m just a WordPressGuy.
There’s something odd going on with the Bluehost server and I’m not able to fix this. Bluehost hasn’t been able to resolve the issue either.
Many thanks for your attention in this matter.
my guess is that there was a shared server issue and the first lost posts were due to them bringing a backup online, and this new reality is another backup restored.
aka they know exactly whats going on but its just easier to say they don’t
I’m guessing we will not see Vegas match Barbashev up against Drai all night back in Sin City
Nuge looked over his shoulder at Marchessault with his stick loaded for a one timer but didn’t react much at all. Meh.
Kane and Hyman looking bad again tonight
Both looking really one dimensional. Neither can make a pass or play defence.
I don’t think either is truly healthy.
but they’re easily the two most frustrating forwards over the past two weeks and that includes Yams
Two bad errors by Hyman there. He looked skyward. He knows it.
Memories of Gags and Ebs
A few guys caught puck watching. Missed the most dangerous guy.. including Skinner who was a bit deep
Bjugstad with the Hyman move avoiding his backhand
Frick. Nuge didn’t pick him up or pick off the pass…
Nurse, Ceci and Hopkins all wrong there. Passive and ugly.
Do the Oilers have an answer for getting their show run for 7 minutes?
We will see.
LOL – Hyman being Hyman coning back towards his net.
This is a problem.
Claw it back
Finally they showed up for the 3rd
Games getting heavy now.
Playoff feel.
Let’s Go!!!
Crosschecking Connor is what got the hitting going
As it should. Can’t see how that wasnt a penalty. Interference? Crosschecking?
I hate when they stay low in the defensive zone and play that weird chase defence.
The wingers need to be higher and each needs to defend their area – not chasing all over. It doesn’t work. Never has.
Ohh Ek
Ugly turnover by Darnell gave Vegas some zone time there.
THAT was a save and a half from Skinner!
Skinnner mano a frickin mano save
Shore came through huge and got us the PP to tie the game up. He might be having his best stretch of games as an Oiler this last month or so.
That PP goal was created by the two best players in the league. They aren’t just dominating, they’re reinventing. Truly a special time to be an Oiler fan.
Hope we continue to control the flow of play and can put a couple in before the 3rd buzzer. Really want that regulation win and to cast that doubt in a potential playoff opponent. GOG!!
They’ve used that play before, but they did invent it.
Bieksa discussed it at intermission
Yep I know they have.
They’re creating new ways to score. It’s incredible.
The backhand to forehand play? I think I invented it. Jan 5th 1980, 187st, Edmonton Alberta.
there was no 187 st in 1980
Yeah there was. Wilfred Webb park. You’re probably thinking about a newer section of 187st, to the south.
That said, in 1980 it was beside farm fields.
Bouchard gave up another 2-on-1 in that period. Skinner looked solid though.
Thry have another gear. They need to turn it on but if this is what it takes for no mistakes, I get it.
I can see why Vegas have been doing well, the Oilers have been carrying the play but Vegas are really protecting the middle of the ice well, collapsing to negate quality chances.
they seem to play a box zone around the slot with one man pressuring the puck
Summarizing!
Chiasson registered two assists in the Blades’ regular season finale. As mentioned, they face Regina in Round 1.
Petrov picked up an assist in NB’s win. Playoff opponent TBD.
Lachance did not earn soup, but I did have some on his behalf. It was real good.
Aren’t you on stage, good player…?
Haha…directing. My work is done. I just show up and
look prettyhelp out wherever needed. Oh, and watch the shows for free. Good times!Petrov’s line did not see a lot of ice tonight from the half game I watched (last half). Their playoff picture can’t change so imagine they were protected.
It’s weird to see a fast game but nothing much going on? Feels like this is Vegas’s top gear. Not fart but not slow, just steady on all lines.
We have another gear.
I wanna see us drop the hammer in the third.
Give ‘em something to think about when the bullets start flying for real.
Not fart? NOT fart? What the hell, man! 🙂
This place is “misspelled central” and that’s the one you pick up one? lol
I would blame the scotch but I’m slow playing this bad boy. 7am chicken feeding is a nonnegotiabe in these parts..,
After Two:
2-2 tie (1-0 Edmonton in the second)
23-17 Edmonton shots (9-8 Edmonton in the second)
42-27 Edmonton Corsi five-on-five (27-11 Edmonton in the second)
===
A strong period for the home team, I think the Oilers are a little unlucky to be tied, honestly. Vegas is a tricky team, though. Fun game!
We are four or so mm away from having 4 more goals. Definitely unlucky to be tied but what matters most is how the team is playing regardless of outcome at this stage.. would be nice to get a well earned win though.
Oilers playing well tonight. Hopefully they can pull ahead in the 3rd.
I’d say they aren’t playing poorly. There’s another level of skill they’ve got.
Oh sure, they are capable of playing better. But they’re outplaying Vegas even though the score is tied.
Vegas has had their moments this game but they’ve been limited to moments thus far. Skinner looks like he’s played his way into the game. I feel pretty good going into the break.
Oilers have pretty much dominated both periods so far……. to my eye
Nice urgent work by Boosh behind his net
Yeah that was a nice takeaway to get it going the other way.
Vinnie D asking Stephenson to go and laughing…
Nurse has elevated his game. I want this every game.
I like his hit of eichel
lol… see my comment on his earlier gaffe right below yours.
There’s a little physicality. good work Bigstad
Bjug reminds me of Jesse. Doesn’t really mean it but guys just crumple when he hits em. He should do it more often.
Drai has turned back in to the 2-way beast and neutral zone transition savant.
Bouchard and Nurses penchant for shooting into shin pads has crept past irritating, and currently venturing towards amusing
Nice save.
Big save.
He played that perfectly. He’s slowing down, now.
Been a while since we saw them do that pass/shot. Beauty.
I was told VGK doesn’t take penalties
BOOM!!! Drai whips it in!!!
Alright, that was beauty nice by Draisaitl!
45 goals!
Its a Drai heat…
He’s on fire. Absolute fire right now. And agreed with a comment below. looks like he’s skating much freer and lighter. He’s healthy right now
That was a weak penalty, we’ll take it
Vegas has more NHL goalies than we have RD haha. That’s weird.
Oilers look like they played 2 easy games and they are not at their best tonight so far.
Good work by Shore the keep the legs moving.
I didn’t realize he was playing.,.lol
It has actually been a remarkably tame game. I can see why we’re not hitting considering this is the first of 3 in 4 and 4 in 6 with travel. But ti has been tame regardless. Might change as the game goes on….
Oilers also not hitting because they’ve had the puck for 2/3 of the game so far.
Nice backcheck and possession by Yams
ugh – enough with the Bouch-bomb; all he does with it is hit shinpads
can’t have a bckswing there Eks
