The Oilers sent out several players on Thursday, as the team slowly begins to take shape. There’s a pressure point building around Warren Foegele and Dylan Holloway, that could be where this roster finds a release valve for the cap issue. I count 14 defensemen still on site. Edmonton used a dozen last year. We could see some new NHL blue in the season to come.

POSSIBLE OPENING NIGHT LINEUP
This is the roster Edmonton would like to travel with, 21 deep and includes the three bonus kids. The problem is the roster is about $300,000 over the cap. Edmonton could waive Derek Ryan or Mattias Janmark or Ryan Murray and then demote Holloway, but if the young man keeps pushing for an NHL job then I think it’s going to be Warren Foegele. A good NHL player is heading out of town.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by Audrey’s last night, it was a great time and a joy to see and meet folks I’ve interacted with over the years. I really appreciate so many took time to join me and hope you enjoyed it. Now, I have some autographed copies that will be available starting Monday. Stay tuned to the blog for more details. Special thanks to Bruce McCurdy for his support, not just last night but always.
CUTS
I see several cuts that can be made, certain you do too. If we’re guessing, then there are a few jobs (No. 4 center, No. 7 defense) still to be won and of course that cap issue may mean someone heading out of town. If we’re making the Bakersfield roster, we could be looking at:
- Calvin Pickard, Ryan Fanti, Olivier Rodrigue
- Dmitri Samorukov, Markus Niemelainen, Alex Peters, Yanni Kaldis, Darien Kielb
- Mike Kesselring, Phil Kemp
- Devin Shore, Greg McKegg, Noah Philp, Luke Esposito, Filip Engaras
- Mattias Janmark, Tyler Benson, James Hamblin
- Xaiver Bourgault, Tyler Tullio, Seth Griffith, Dino Kambeitz
Holloway is making a strong enough case that I believe we can say he’s going to stay. If the club can’t get him good minutes early, maybe he goes down to the farm on final time. I’m leaning no.
Calvin Pickard reminds me of Bill Ranford.
And Noah Philp didn’t look out of place.
Agreed. I was okay with his game too. I thought he played a little “safer” tonight, but he was in the battle and contending well.
Summarizing!
An impactful night for both Petrov and Wanner.
Petrov put up 1+2 with 3 SOG, while Wanner potted a goal and was named 2nd star in Moose Jaw’s win.
And we’re off! Thanks, Tarkus.
Thank you for all your updates, it’s greatly appreciated!
Appears to be pre-season for the refs too
I must have missed the exact reason Nurse has dropped the gloves twice with a plug loser??
Anyone catch it?
Did JP get an even smaller helmet???
I share Stauffer’s concerns, re: Broberg
What are Stauffer’s concerns?
Gained too much wait, doesn’t look as fluid….
He mentioned a couple times that Broberg’s weight gain over the summer seems to be hampering the fluidity of his skating.
Broberg did have a sequence (2nd period?) where he tried to hold the blue line in the Calgary end, tried to poke check an onrushing Flame and missed. Off-balance, he tried to right himself only to fall down completely. Looked like Bambi on skates on that play.
Esposito rags the puck in the Flames end to kill the end of a penalty, he gets it back to Kulak at the left point and his shot eludes Vladar for a 2-1 Oilers lead.
After 40:
1-1, no goals in the second
28-11 edmonton shots, 16-4 Edmonton in the second
36-17 Corsi five-on-five Edmonton, 23-9 Edmonton in the second

Really liking McDavid and Nuge lines
Is McDavid heavier?
looked lighter in his preseason interviews to me. . .
I read that he is both lighter and heavier this season
Hyman, Hopkins and Yamamoto all putting the puck into the pads instead of the open corner this period. Oh well.
The AHL crew not showing much – and definitely not up to the pace of the rest of the squad.
That’s both good and bad.
Bouchard with a helluva keep at the Flames blue line on the PP. Basically laid out to block a clearing attempt and then gained possession.
Wanner celebrates signing his ELC by scoring Moose Jaw’s go-ahead goal in period 2.
He gets the puck at the blue line, walks in and lasers one glove-side:
https://mobile.twitter.com/MJWARRIORS/status/1576034627298463744?cxt=HHwWgMC4nZbJmd8rAAAA
impressive display
Vladar has kept the Flames in this game.
Half a game is all it takes for Max Wanner to score his first goal of the season as he puts Moose Jaw up 2-1 half way through.
After One:
1-1 tie
12-7 shots Edmonton
14-8 Corsi five-on-five Edmonton

Some rust for sure, Campbell was fine that goal was a fluke turnover and they happen (I’m sure overreaction will rain down online).
McDavid has his wheels, Leon scored a goal on some dandy work by Kailer Yamamoto. I liked Foegele plenty, JP forechecking, the Nuge line overall and Evan Bouchard’s passing.
This is a wonderful team.
Nice assist Nurse!
Already enjoying the lower heart rate and general comfort of a goalie who makes the first save, plays square to the puck, and doesn’t fall all over the place.
Absolutely, was thinking the exact same thing.
Every shot had a chance of going in on the Swiss Miss and old man Mikey. Am I imaging that there was like 1 stretch of 10 games in a row that we gave up the first Goal when Tippett was still coaching. It’s so nice we finally have a Goalie in his prime that doesn’t make you wince on every shot.
Yes sir. Smith was unpredictable which added an extra dose of uncertainty to Oiler games. Except if you want the best chance to win consistently. Goaltending isn’t supposed to be the exciting part of the game for the team you’re cheering for these days
So again this game is not available in the US?????? Does anyone have a stream that works here?
I’m not in the states, but I am listening online on CHED!
630CHED it is then.
I miss listening to Rod Philips and Morley Scott.
This is so fucking frustrating.
I hear ya mate, moved plans around to watch this game today. No feed anywhere for me in Australia
It’s absolute trash. This league sux. I actually pay for the version they have of centerice down here and cannot watch a game. Losers
Same here, pay for ESPN + and that’s almost as bad as nhl tv I needed to used before
Is it blocked for you guys on the team site?
Currently in Chinchilla, QLD for work and tried to find some sort of stream at lunch time but no luck. If you find something let me know. Thanks,
Ended up on one of the streaming sites. Ridiculous how tough they make it if you’re not in Canada. Chinchilla, make sure to get a picture with the melon haha
I have one and this link does not work!
Yeah, I’m in North Carolina and pissed off as well. Such a bush league when it comes to these sorts of things.
While I get playing the stars at home thing, I think they overdue it. Why not at least send the 2nd PP unit to Calgary last game so they get some reps (and follow that through other disciplines?
Agreed. It’s so short sighted. Have to make sure we have a good showing at home to get the home town fans bought in. Then send scrubs to the away games for a waste of time.
I’d be getting to a final lineup way quicker to get the jump on teams come game 1.
It’s not so bad now with more talent to work with, but it wasn’t long ago that the first 10 games of the season were still treated like exhibition in these parts. Usually resulted in a 2-8 start
Petrov is in North Bay’s lineup tonight, and picks up an aPPle less than 100 seconds into the game.
He draws another helper as the Battalion goes up 2-0 late in the first.
He then finds the back of the net and it’s 3-0 thru 20 minutes.
Wow, he’s really cookin’ with Petrol(v) to start!
Video evidence of his goal, a one-time blast from the top of the left circle:
https://twitter.com/OHLBattalion/status/1575998000236990464?cxt=HHwWgMDQrZn1iN8rAAAA
That thing had a motor on it. A Petrov powered motor.
Okay I’ll stop now.
If life is fair -Benson has out played Ryan, Janmark and maybe Foegele So FAR in pre-season on a club friendly contract.
Has he outplayed Shore?
That two year contract was puzzling prior to this year, sucked against the cap.
Doesn’t affect the cap.
If he gets waived the entire contract can be buried with no cap implications.
1) Someone mentioned bringing in Galchenyuk – he was released from his initial PTO due to a long term injury.
2) Someone asked how serious Chychrun’s wrist injury was – well, as I far as I know, he is STILL not fully participating and thinking abut the likes of Boeser and Matthews and Holloway, wrists seem to be finicky often.
3) Someone mentioned Skinner’s next contract being an issue. I don’t see that at all – he’ll be signed this off-season and, while I aniticpte a very good year playing 30 games (heck, maybe even 40), I don’t presume that contact will be much more than $2MM per on another bridge – the nature of goalie contracts for this term/age/stage.
4) Woody started talking about the PP today and how the three guys (McDavid/Nuge/Drai) have played together for so long and they’ve added in various net front guys. First guy he mentioned re: net front was Jesse. Then he said “even Kane” can play net front and “of course” Hyman does.
What are the odds Nuge becomes the long awaited Pisani? With youngsters Mcleod and Holloway on his wings that’d be a fun line to watch grow as the season rolls on. If only one of them was a righty.
Downvoting not because I dislike the line combo, only the insinuation that Nuge will ever be anything other than Full Nuge.
Pisani was the Pisani cause his contract was cheap. Nuge has always been paid quite well for his services.
Can’t wait to eat these words but I don’t see Nuge having an out of his mind playoffs as per. Doesn’t feel like that’s lying in wait. #reversejinx
Skinner’s next contract is going to be an issue….Picard might be our backup for 2023/24
I remember the days not long ago when this team had PROBLEMS.
Yes good point, a good problem to have…and Pickard isn’t a terrible solution…and for the record, he did play 1 game for the TMLs so we’re keeping that trend alive…
Skinner’s next contract is only an issue if he stands on his head and drives up his value.
And that’s a good problem to have.
I disagree, go look at Spencer Knight’s numbers…he got paid for a sv 908%
Spencer Knight just turned 21 and Skinner is 24 in November.
Knight is almost 3 years younger than Skinner and a much higher pedigree prospect.
They aren’t in the same tier as far a contracts, in my opinion.
Pedigree is moolah.
sorta had that thought but it’s still pretty contingent. If Skinner proves himself good problem to have.
2023 Way Too Early NHL Draft Target Update:
As mentioned a few weeks ago, the player that has grabbed my attention that will be in and around the #30 slot is Koehn Ziemmer, who hails from Mayerthorpe/Whitecourt. He plays for Prince George and is listed as a RHS RW, but is 11/16 after 2 games on the dot.
He has one of the best shots in this draft class, which is very high praise considering the fellows who are likely going at #1 and #2 this season.
His important stats are 3 goals (2PPG) + 1 assist and 7 shots after 2 GP. I will update his progress once/month, so you can follow along with me as I track his progress and see if my premature prediction holds true at the draft.
Link to his highlights:

Great time last night at Audreys LT! Was an honor meeting you and Mr.McCurdy as well.
Cant wait to do it again for the next book..
And make sure to double check your phone so that flashlight isn’t on 😆😉
Dammit!! 🙂
I see Wanner signed his ELC with the Oilers. Many expected him to get a contract. His NHL cap hit / salary + signing bonus ($92,500) would be $925,000 with a minors salary of $80,000. Seems like he will just make the signing bonus this season and spend the season in juniors. Pretty good deal for a 7th rounder only 1 season post draft.

How significant is the current injury to Chychrun? How long is he expected to be out?
Bone chips in ankle were removed and some kind of wrist injury, I think.
I have not seen a timeline.
Seems like bone chips also in his wrist, which was due to a wrist injury that never “felt right”.
Not sure of his status, there is no info, but likely not too far away (maybe within 2 weeks), it would seem.
It would be a mistake to spend much to get him
Klef 2.0. Chych is young and already hurt a lot. It’s not likely to improve as he gets older
I can imagine Woodcroft is running the camp intelligently, not playing head games with the skilled players while coddling the 3rd line pluggers for example.
I honestly think he is one of the top coaches in hockey and the sky is the limit for him.
Now that I have written the words, it would be fun to see how MacT would try to coach this firepower team.
Didn’t get to watch much of the last game but I did see about 5 minutes. There was a player who caught my eye streaking up and down the ice and I didn’t recongnize him at first. Turns out it was Holloway. The kid is very noticeable with his jet like skating alone.
Prospecting!
Two Oilers CHL prospects who were returned to their junior squadrons could see action tonight if they’re deemed ready to slot right in. Max Wanner is poised to give his Warriors (with spanky new Snowbirds-themed branding) a boost on the blue line, while Matvey Petrov’s Battalion kick off their regular season tonight. Will they both actually suit up? We wait.
North Bay (Petrov) @ 5 p.m.
Moose Jaw (Wanner) @ 7 p.m.
Both times, as always–and in honour of where Wanner and Petrov just were–are Campsie time.
Thanks! Keep ‘em coming 👍🏻
Dom at the Athletic has the Oil ranked 10th in his ‘22-‘23 hockey almanac: https://theathletic.com/3639535/2022/09/30/edmonton-oilers-2022-23-season-preview/
That’s a very ungenerous ranking, just ahead of Nashville.
Oilers are mostly penalized for the role of young players in the lineup (Broberg, Skinner, and McLeod do not grade well), while Campbell and Hyman pay a tax for being Ex-Leafs, and Kane pays a tax for being Kane.
We’ll show ‘em
Good. Let the Oilers continue to be underestimated. Fuel for the belly-fire.
The actual preview itself though is much more generous. Dom uses his model and then questions the results of the model. He said the model goes by numbers over the season and the team was much more successful with Woodcroft at the helm. Assuming that last year wasn’t just a new coach bump, he says it’s very possible they will outperform the model.
Campbell pays because at the start of the season he looked like a Vezina winner, and at the end of the season Tommy Salo after Comrie (allegedly) slept with his wife. Which is he? Somewhere in between, surely.
Good thing Comrie got in that fight when he returned to the Oilers for a short time.
From what I’ve seen, Holloway is already better than Janmark, Shore, Ryan, and Foegle with plenty more upside. I think he stays, not sure they want to trade Foegle. I think one or two of the other 3 might be waived IF Holland doesn’t find a trade that works.
Also, this Chychrun trade talk is ridiculous IMHO. You can’t trade JP, the RW depth is razor thin. Barrie? Then what happens with the right side if Bouch or Ceci gets hurt??
Completely agree:)
As others have opined, the obvious (costly) return pieces are Foegs Broberg and a pick. That’s a Go Now trade, and I don’t necessarily disagree.
1) Its too bad that Savoie isn’t on the Condors’ lineup – poor kid (Vinny too, he’ll back be back soon though but missed his best shot at NHL exhibition games).
2) Don’t imagine that we see Jake on a skilled line. He hasn’t earned that opportunity over the likes of Holloway, McLeod, etc. and, really, if the McDavid’s and Drai’s are going to play 3 (maybe even 2) exhibition games, they should be with likely line mates, right?
3) Jake will play one of the back to backs and I suspect big cuts after Saturday.
4) meanshell, is that an honest concern about scoring? Do we think that a line with McLeod and Foegele would be able to contribute a bit more if they were the 3rd line and playing 3rd line comp and not lining up against Backland, Huburdeau, Kadri, Lindholm and Hannifin, etc.?
5) This Chychrun stuff….. I don’t know. I know he’s better than his awful season last year, team matters, but holy hell what a risk. He’s STILL hurt, dealing with a wrist injury and he had an ankle procedure for spurs this off-season. Major knee injuries in the recent past. Is there enough duct tape? Seriously? Not to mention, Barrie goes out for the cap structuring and now we have 4LD, with some “able to play their off side” and 2RD. This seems like a very risky proposition, no?
Duct tape might not be enough for this guy. Might want to also add surgical remediation utilizing Double Bubble and bailer twine to make sure!
Poor Savoie. Kid looked motivated and ready to test expectations.
I would offer Galchenyuk a PTO and Cut Virtanen after tonight’s game. I think Alex has more to offer then Jake at this point.
We would then have had pucks 1,2,3 from 2012 draft 🙂
And also 4th from that year, Griffin Reinhart.
Am I the only one concerned we have not scored a goal in two games now?
yes
let me double down: i would not be worried about the oilers getting shut out the entire preseason. good teams do not care about preseason.
Honestly I didn’t expect much. The 4th line needs more than what any of Janmark, Ryan or Shore can offer. At this rate they might only play 5 min and a line of Nuge McLeod and Foegle/Holloway might get 15.
By convention — what Dennis King calls “the gentlemen’s agreement” — fourth lines most often play against other fourth lines. Whereas on Tuesday, playing without Edmonton’s top SEVEN forwards, they were deployed like a second line & got a bellyful of the Lindholm & Kadri units.
I will heartily agree that the second line needs more than what Janmark, Ryan or Shore can offer. Fortunately, this isn’t 2009 & that isn’t a problem.
Ok. Just Oiler PTSD I guess!
understandable.
…something something about how skilled teams don’t follow the same rulebook as the brave, grinding teams who seem to perennially inhabit the middle of the NHL standings.
Thank Christ and Hallelujah.
Remember when the Oilers would be undefeated in the pre-season and then would fail to make the dance?
Yup, you have PGSD, Post-Gretzky Stanley Deficiency
I don’t care to remember.
Oilers in on Chuchryn.
try fitting HIM onto that roster 🤣
I do not know what to think of Chuchryn, but conceptually, I like the idea of a trade for a veteran dman.
Same. He’s highly rated, and cheap for what people say he brings, but I don’t really have a sense of his play. If he is indeed all that, I would pay dearly to slot his contract alongside the remaining McD contract years. #LFG
I assumed all Chychrun ($4.6m) deals meant Barrie ($4.5m) out. Send Derek Ryan (Or similar) with him and the money is taken care of. You just need to add non-roster stuff to meet their actual demands.
Of course, you could complicate things by adding Puljujarvi as he’s adding actual value, but that’s a whole other long, hypothetical conversation.
The trade pieces aside.. I haven’t seen Chychrun play much. Is he actually good, or is he just the best Coyote?
He had a poor year last year after an outstanding 2020-21 season (I think he had 18 goals). Haven’t seen the fancies but the general sense seems to be a great player on a truly terrible team who wants out.
I haven’t watched hundreds of hours of gametape either, but the numbers don’t show a great player on a terrible team.
His only “great” season was in the COVID league against mostly terrible SW teams. His splits show that he did well against the bottom dwellers and was average against better teams.
Boxcars v ANA, LAK, SJS STL
32, 14-17-31 [0.97 P/GP] +4
Boxcars v COL, MIN, VGK
24, 4-6-10 [0.42 P/GP] -10
He shot 10.2% that year. Other than that season, he has averaged 5.9% for his career.
Talking about last year as a “poor” year isn’t really accurate either, as it seems to have been an above average year for him, just looking at a couple of basic metrics.
5v5 P/60
17-18: 0.49
18-19: 0.73
19-20: 0.86
20-21: 1.52
21-22: 1.05
P/GP
17-18: 0.28
18-19: 0.38
19-20: 0.41
20-21: 0.73
21-22: 0.45
So the narrative that he’s a great player that just had a bad year on a bad team appears to be false.
Here’s another interesting fact: Chychrun played less against elite comp last year than Gostisbehere, Stralman, Dysin Mayo and JJ Moser (who??). That’s a giant red flag if you ask me.
His GF% Rel was terrible last year, worst on the team among regulars. This despite having the most o-zone faceoffs of any of the 5 players listed, and a greater o-zone faceoff percentage, too.
There are legitimate concerns surrounding his current injury as well as his injury history too.
I think he’s a 2nd pairing defenseman whose game is slanted towards offense. If you think the team needs an upgrade at 2LD I’d suggest Travis Sanheim, who appears to be a similar player to Chychrun but, due to being a pending UFA, will be much cheaper to acquire. It would have to be a deadline deal, of course.
Personally I think Holland moved on from Chychrun when he signed Kulak.
Well he’d be a wash if Barrie went the other way. Include a winger in the trade and the Oilers have added a quality defenseman and solved their cap issues.
Yeah, I think the trade would have to look something like:
Barrie +Foegele + Broberg + 1st for Chychrun + other shit maybe
That’s in line with the reported ask.
Like others I don’t really have a clear idea how good Chychrun is, but I wouldn’t make that trade based on what I know today.
I wouldn’t trade Broberg for Chychrun straight across. Ask will be way to high and doesn’t really make sense to get another LHD and take from RH.
That’s a spicy take. Are you really down on Chychrun or really high on Broberg?
The ask likely is too high, but if it’s actually reasonable then improving the D corps overall is worth doing.
Yes, agreed. Make a trade now if there is a good deal to be made. But there is zero pressure to make a trade now. The Oilers current roster will be good enough to compete for the division. Re-assess needs at the deadline.
Is that because you think Kulak is good enough as 2LD for a contending team or because you think Broberg will grow into that role during the season. Or is it the late 1st or something else.
Please don’t tell me it is value because if the Oilers are in win mode then value has to be the least important consideration you can have in making a trade.
The only real considerations are if you think you can cover 3RD internally or with another trade. Chychrun is the guy you hope Broberg will become.
It’s a bit of everything, honestly.
As I said, I’m not sure of the players value since I haven’t watched him much. ArmchairGM lays some of the negatives out above. IIRC the main argument for him (aside from his scoring in 20-21) has been xGF%rel, which I’ve become skeptical of.
Value is part of it too. I’m thinking mostly of Broberg there. Holland I think does, and should, have one eye to the future even though it’s all in time. Broberg will hopefully be a real important player for the Oilers for a bunch of years.
In terms of value of the 1st, I think of that mostly in currency terms and what it could buy at a later date.
I also think Kulak and Broberg may be good enough. I feel a little about Kulak like you do about Skinner, which is to say, pretty good. And Broberg could progress quickly. I’m not counting on him being better than Kulak by this spring, but I think he’s very likely to be a substantial player during the course of Chychrun’s deal.
Chychrun’s injuries are a really legitimate concern too.
It’s a huge decision if it is even under discussion other than as a Dreger rumour.
The one thing I will note is that Chychrun is only 3 years older than Broberg so it isn’t like Holland would be giving up on any future should he make that trade.
Anyway, I think this is highly unlikely to happen but it is kind of nice that the Oilers are part of the rumour mill for high end guys after years where that was not the case. P Kane earlier this summer and now Chychrun who I think is highly coveted by a number of GM’s around the league.
Yes, it would be a huge move. And I did note that Chychrun is only24 even though he’s been around forever.
Agreed on the rumor mill being a lot more fun lately.
And hehe, I almost mentioned PKane regarding potential other uses for the 1st.
massive overpay in my opinion
Maybe 2 deals go down, something like Foegele + Broberg + Koekkoek + a conditional 1st related to number of games played by Chych + a small retention (like $250 K) + Travis Boyd at 50% retention.
And then Barrie to Ottawa for Zaitsev (who is apparently on the outs in Ottawa) @ 50%.
This makes the team worse now and in the long run.
What a horrible, gord-awful, lopsided loss for the Oilers. That kinda trade gets you fired woof.
Or wins you the Cup….
I am now starting to look at Broberg as a long-term project. I no longer see him as the 2nd coming of Klefbom; I figure I’ve probably watched him play a lot more than you have…
So what is the cost vs benefit? 4 years of Chychrun entering his prime for a player who may never arrive and a late 1st round bullet that could take 5 years to arrive, if it does at all…. FWIW, I would not give up the 2023 1st, I would offer one of 2024 or 2025.
In a Barrie trade I’d try to get their 2024 2nd (from the Caps) and add Lavoie for Egor Sokolov.
Spec says the Oilers are NOT in on Chychrun. Who’s right?
Is Spec ever right?
Although everything I’ve been reading seems like it is between Ottawa, Boston and St. Louis. Columbus also has high interest.
Touche.
Foegele does make the most sense to move as he is the most easily replaced based on skill set and usage.
Hope they make the smart choice. because I’d rather move foegele for a 6th round pick, then move Puljujarvi for a 2nd
What if Jesse wants to be traded? Is it worth giving up Foegele now and Jesse at the deadline or next summer for what may still be an underwhelming return? Holland has done a good job so far to ensure that he’s not giving Jesse away for nothing, but will there be a point where his camp really forces Holland’s hand? I’d prefer to keep Jesse as well, but trust that with Holland having all of the information we don’t have, he will make the correct move even if we don’t think it is from our vantage point.
Edit: That’s not to say Holland is perfect at his job or will make a really good trade, but judging by his patience on this so far he’s earned my trust that he will make the best he can out of the situation if a trade is inevitable.
Perfectly fine with that scenario if this season goes the distance. I’ll be sorry to see Foegs go and, if it comes to it, thank PJ for his service.
Suspect you would have to offer a sweetener to get someone to take Foegle. In a capped out league his contract is pretty unattractive. Pretty sure no one would offer a 2nd for JP either, otherwise that deal would have been done already.
This seems like an important time to use ‘than’ instead of ‘then’.
Ha! Yep pretty big difference there.
Me too and if PKane wants to come to EDM, JP and picks can be the center around it at the deadline. Hopefully his stats are pumped up from playing top 6 in EDM.
I love Audrey’s but have not been back to Edmonton since before Covid, I wish I could have made it!
I am anxiously awaiting my book arrival, living in NL it is currently delayed in the mail due to Fiona. In the grand scheme of things I am quite lucky to have this be the biggest impact it had on my life out here.
Excited to finally see some semblance of our real team tonight, let’s go!
My book arrived last night. Congratulations LT, wow a book! The cover alone gets me excited, can’t wait to dig in. I know I’ll be reading it with your voice in my head. Wish I still lived in YEG, I would’ve liked to have attended last night. Someday perhaps I will finally get to meet you and get it signed.
Thoughts go out to you Todd Macallan and everyone out East at this challenging time.
Much appreciated. Luckily the storm only caught the very SW of the island so most were unaffected, myself included.
In southeast NB….we got a good lashing but not like NS, NL and PEI. Crazy. I spent a few hours last Sunday chopping up a couple of 15cm diameter limbs that that broke off main trunk of large maple in my backyard, Not a woodsman but bought a chainsaw few years back….turning out to be a good purchase.
I look forward to seeing us ice a significant NHL roster tonight. Does Jake get in one more game and play with one of the skilled centermen? Not sure if that would really make any difference.
I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t get another couple of games. There’s 5 left.
